Prayer Diary

Prayer for the Week:

Dear Lord, I pray that you will help me to cast my burdens upon you rather than try to solve them myself. I understand that worry is an attempt to control things for which I have no control. Rather, I will concentrate on praying for and seeking your counsel for my life. Help me draw close enough to you that I give you everything; that I communicate with you openly about my fears, cares, and burdens. Amen.

HEBA:      Alvechurch Baptist Church Fiona Lee

We have been really blessed this Easter, by working together with the other churches in Alvechurch and Rowney Green, to organise and hold an event called ‘Alvechurch Arise’: which saw a Palm Sunday procession complete with a donkey and ‘Jesus’, a Maundy Thursday activity afternoon, a Good Friday act of worship complete with the bringing and presenting of a cross, and an Easter Sunday service followed by an Easter Egg Hunt – all outside in the local community and with many village folk attending.   We pray now that by witnessing and sharing this message with the local community, other opportunities will arise and give us further chances to develop these friendships with local people. We thank God for ways in which to work together as the churches and pray that these friendships may deepen our faith.
